A blocked nose can be attributed to various reasons such as nasal polyps, deviated nasal septum, sinusitis, common cold, adenoid hypertrophy, nasal allergies, hypertrophic turbinates, and exostosis.
1. Lemna Minor: Blocked Nose due to Polyp, polyp that worsens in wet weather; an offensive odour, loss of smell with difficulty in breathing, nasal discharges or dry.

8. Sanguinaria Nitricum-Blocked Nose due to Polyp, nose is blocked along with watery nasal discharges. The discharges are extremely burning, sneezing.
9. Teucrium- Blocked Nose due to Polyp, offensive crusty discharges, mouth may also emit a bad odour. Watering from eyes and sneezing also accompany the blocked nose.
10. Kali Bichrome- Blocked Nose due to Sinusitis, nose blockage with posterior nasal discharges. Difficulty in breathing and loss of smell are also present. Extreme nose stuffiness is felt at the root of the nose.
11. Kali Iod- Blocked Nose due to Sinusitis, when the nose is blocked with free discharge of a burning character.
12. Pulsatilla-Blocked Nose due to Sinusitis, a specific greenish nose discharge with a blocked nose is the main indication.
13. Silicea-Blocked Nose due to Sinusitis, nose is blocked with dry, hard crusts in the nose. There is bleeding on trying to remove the crusts.
Blocked Nose due to Exostosis of Nasal Bones– Phosphorus, Merc Sol and Aurum Met. A thorough case inquiry of the patient is made to choose the most suitable remedy out of these three.
